october is a busy month at the theatre. our new website is up for you to view our complete calendar, photos, media and explore all the possibilities anitAFRIKA! dub theatre offers. please remember that classes, workshops, and events begin october 1st! registration is now open, feel free to give us a call at 416.434.1823 or send us an email at village@anitafrika.com to discuss your interests and ideas!
there are some new courses, speshal shows, and no cost gatherings that have been added to our season that we know you will enjoy! our weekly meditation classes are now yoga and meditation classes (yeay!) being offered still at a pwyc rate and slightly earlier in the evening, so check out the new times. and our adt! space sharing form is now downloadable so please fill it out with all your great programming ideas for the 2nd term (jan-april) of the 2008-2009 season and we will endeavor to program you in.

moyo was africa is a coalition of africans on the continent and in the diaspora who are committed to the reclamation of indigenous african spiritualities, knowledge systems, economic praxis, and resources as the only viable means of addressing the colonially-induced dis-ease and dysfunction plaguing our peoples. come and take part in the circle. visit moyowaafrica.com for more info.

inviting all anti-oppreshun workers and activists from all community organizing sectors (art, literary, anti-racist/migrant justice, queer of colour, feminist of colour, anti-poverty, youth organizers etc) to come and eat and ground. potluck dinner. bring something yummy. check womensbookstore.com for more info.

5 wks playwriting workshop - the 10 minute play by inspirato festival and adt!
mondays 6:30-9:30pm (oct 20 - dec 1) $30 + $10 for materials
join dominik loncar as he takes you through a series of hands-on visceral, playful activities that focus on writing and experiencing a ten-minute play. whether you are a beginner or seasoned writer, the concepts learned can be applied to any of your forms of playwriting. final class features reading of drafts. bring a notebook, pen and comfortable clothing. to register call 416.483.2222 or email inspirato@ca.inter.net.

this documentary provides an overview of the principles of the haudenosaunee great law of peace, early treaty arrangements verifying six nations' long-standing relationships to lands in the southern ontario region, and subsequent nation-to-nation agreements made between the crown and the six nations confederacy.

3rd tuesday oct 21 come out and listen to d'bi.young and members of the dubbin.revolushun.gangstars as they mix poetry with politrix. open mic on da scene, suh come een an ketch a reasoning.
